The Visualization and Graphics Research Group at UC Davis conducts an extremely active and well-funded research program specializing in the areas of visualization, computer-aided geometric design, computer graphics, and scientific computing. We currently have one of the best research environments on the West Coast for these fields with several high performance parallel computing systems, many graphics workstations, a large-scale display wall, and all the "toys" that one would expect from a state-of-the-art research lab.
We are a social group, getting together for food, pizza, plays, concerts,
and yearly retreats -- along with the usual seminars, research meetings and
other academic pursuits. We have a great research area, a great research
environment, a great group of people, and have a lot of fun.
We are always are looking for good people to work with us. If you are interested write us mail at joy@cs.ucdavis.edu, tell us about yourself and your interest, and let's get a conversation started. I think you will find that there are great opportunities here.
